además permiten reflejar la reducción del costo
operativo del sistema e implícitamente ahondan
en la reducción de la emisión de gases
contaminantes dado que se desplaza la generación
costosa que por lo general corresponde a la
tecnología de tipo térmico.
Finalmente, se señala que la eficiencia en el
despacho multi – área depende de los recursos de
generación disponible y la capacidad de los
enlaces de interconexión permitiendo la
optimización de los recursos y de cierta forma se
asegura la competencia en la actividad de
generación. Por lo tanto, el modelo propuesto
constituye la base para la integración de mercados
y sistemas eléctricos.
