The Technical Journal "energía” presents you with the opportunity to disseminate, in a wide and specialized sector of our society, technical articles that portray scientific and technological advances, as well as professional experiences in the areas related to Electrical Power Systems, Energy Systems, and International Electricity Interconnections, granting recognition to the best technical publications on the categories indicated below:

• Category I (practical applications): Includes work related to practical or development applications, based on the execution of the processes carried out by the institutions of the electricity sector.
• Category II (academic articles): Includes articles based on scientific and academic research papers from Universities and Institutes, as well as academic works of theses for obtaining third level or fourth level degrees (specialty, master’s, or doctorate).

The general scope of the syllabus for the definition of the articles covers different technical topics inherent to the management of Academic and Research Institutions, among which are (but are not limited to):

• Electrical Power Systems
• Energy Efficiency
• Technological and Innovation Topics
• Energy Production and Use
• Business management

The Technical Journal "energía" is indexed in the databases of "EBSCO Information Services" (http://www.ebscohost.com), and Latindex Catálogo 2.0, which has allowed to consolidate the national and international prestige and recognition attained by the Journal.

MISSION

The Technical Journal "energía" issues unpublished scientific articles structured on a methodological theoretical basis, the result of research, developments, and innovations that contribute to science and engineering in the energy branch, generated in the Ecuadorian ISO, Operador Nacional de Electricidad - CENACE, industry or academia, nationally and internationally.

VISION

To be a national and international reference for scientific publications related to electrical and energy issues, meeting high standards of quality, methodological rigor, and the editorial requirements of prestigious indexing institutions.

SCOPE

The Technical Journal "energía” is pleased to invite students, teachers, and researchers from Universities and Polytechnic Schools, as well as professionals from the Electrical and Energy Industry, to participate in the preparation and presentation of technical articles with the purpose of promoting research and technical communication between professionals, with an innovative sense, aiming at the benefit of the electricity and energy sectors of Ecuador.

TECHNICAL JOURNAL "energía” PUBLISHING ENTITY

Operador Nacional de Electricidad - CENACE is instituted as a strategic technical body attached to the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, who will act as the technical operator of the Ecuadorian National Interconnected System, SNI (by its acronym in Spanish), and the commercial administrator of the energy blocks transactions. It is responsible for the continuous supply of electrical energy at the lowest possible cost, preserving the overall efficiency of the sector. In the fulfillment of its functions, it must safeguard the safety and quality conditions of the operation of the SNI, subject to the regulations issued by the Electricity Regulation and Control Agency, ARC.
