Estudio de Prefactibilidad Técnica de la Línea El Inga – Vicentina a 138 kV, en el Sistema de Subtransmisión de la Empresa Eléctrica Quito

Abstract

This paper describes a study concerning the inclusion of a new delivery point in the Sistema Eléctrico Quito (Quito Electric Company System) at a voltage level of 138 kV. All the necessary requirements are well justified to support the inclusion of this project. The adequate line route is analyzed considering diverse technical criteria such as line modeling in multi-circuit structures, use of an existing line right-ofway, and coupling between sequence networks. Moreover, the benefits of its implementation are well documented making this project feasible. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages for the Quito Electric Company System is analyzed based on modeling and simulation of this project on the system’s expansion plan.
