The mean purpose of this work is to develop a self-restoration schemes design, through a strategic location of reclosers in the distribution system feeders of “Empresa Eléctrica Regional Centro Sur C.A. (CENTROSUR)”, applying overcurrent protection philosophies such as “Fuse Saving” and criteria for distribution automation “Fault Location, Isolation and Service Restoration - FLISR”. The predictive reliability model is calibrated to evaluate improvement opportunities and then prioritizes the portfolio of projects in terms of reducing the time of interruption and incremental benefi t-tocost analysis.
