Conceptual Considerations about Transient Stability Assessment for the Adjustment of the Single-Phase Reclosing Time at San Rafael - El Inga 500 kV Transmission Line
Main Article Content
Abstract
This work analyzes the implications of several conceptual considerations, such as modeling and integration characteristics, synchronous machine modeling and saturation modeling, in the results of the transient stability analysis facing the occurrence of single-phase faults followed by opening and reclosing at San Rafael–El Inga 500 kV transmission line. For this, the software DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ATP and EMTP-RV are used to model and to simulate the dynamic behavior of the system under different considerations. The results show that the models of synchronous machines based on Park transform present greater problems of stability under unbalanced perturbations or asymmetric conditions. Likewise, it has been also demonstrated how differences of modeling and integration algorithms can lead to different dynamic behaviors in the system, which should be adequately taken into account in the studies.
