Evaluación del Impacto Económico en Diferentes Escenarios de Implementación de Tecnologías Eficientes de Calentamiento de Agua en el Ecuador

Abstract

The present article describes the different technologies and domestic water heating. A methodology for benchmarking the energy, economic and environmental performance of different types of existing technologies domestic water heating is presented. The economic impact of the integration of water heating systems in different energy futures in Ecuador is also evaluated. The article focuses on the technologies used in recent years for water heating. Assesses the economic impact on the energy system due to substitution and reduction in consumption of imported fossil fuels, and reducing emissions. The impact on the power of the water heating technologies that replace less effi cient systems dependent on fossil resources are also evaluated. Finally, economic and environmental impact of the massive integration of solar thermal systems in the energy system and the electrical system for different future scenarios analyzed.
