Sistema de Generación Energía Sumergible Basado en un Vórtice Gravitacional con Sifón para Comunidades Aisladas
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper presents a system of power generation based on a gravitational vortex with siphon for isolated communities, manufactured in the province of Loja - Ecuador. The system is submersible operates such a step hydroelectric power plant and by design it can be installed directly into irrigation canals, rivers, etc. without major civil works. The designed Under Water Generator UTG unit consists of a prototype underwater Kaplan turbine, a three-phase multi-pole synchronous generator with permanent magnet excited, a three-phase diode bridge rectifi er, a DC-to-AC inverter, and artifi cial vortex. A monitoring and control system of the UTG unit is also integrated to measure the electrical data of the UTG system. According to the measurement results, the designed prototype underwater-turbine-generator-based on gravity vortex system can stably offer adequate electric power to the connected loads, with a factor power plan of 60%.
