Análisis del Sistema Metro de Quito y su impacto en la Red de la Empresa Eléctrica Quito

Abstract
The Metropolitan District of Quito is committed to solve its existing traffic problems in the city. One of the solutions is the construction of a Massive Transportation System called Metro de Quito, becoming the backbone that integrates all means of existing public transportation such as Trole, Ecovia, Corredores Suroriental, Central Norte y Suroccidental. In this work, a detailed model of Electrical System of Metro de Quito (SEMQ) is developed which has been incorporated into the Empresa Eléctrica Quito (EEQ) grid, the Electric Utility Company of Quito. This model is used to perform system studies as power flow, through the computation tool DIgSILENT PowerFactory, for different operationg conditions. The results show that the electrical behavior and loadability of the EEQ and the SEMQ systems are within an acceptable range, which will ensure a stable operation of both systems.
