Mejoramiento de la Calidad del Producto Técnico e Impacto en la Utilización de Generación Distribuida con Energías Renovables en una Zona de la provincia de Manabí
Main Article Content
Abstract
Novel technical solutions have a high potential to assist important demand in the Ecuadorian rural electrical distribution network. There could be improvements in the quality of electrical service with implementation of sustainability criteria, energy efficiency and autonomy policies, emission reduction programs, and national regulation compliances. The base case selected was a rural location in Manabí province with constant voltage and quality problems for which a comparison of traditional reactive compensation methods and distributed generation with renewable energy for strategic development proposals were analysed. This study will evaluate advantages and disadvantages on installations up to 1MW. The regulation for non-conventional generation CONELEC N°002/13 and CONELEC N°004/01 for electrical quality will provide the statutory frame. The analysis will include different operation modes as described in IEEE Std. 929 and IEEE Std. 1547.
