The CENACE’s Energy Management System - EMS currently does not have real-time information from the majority of generators from 1 to 5 MW, given that such power stations are not equipped with RTUs or Gateways that send this type of information, through a dedicated communication channel to one of the CENACE’s remote concentrators (FE).

In order to include such information in the EMS, a data acquisition architecture was designed which makes having this type of information possible in real-time by using energy meters installed on these generators and using the Internet and/or current channels as a communication medium with CENACE, thus improving the real-time supervision and operations processes as well as the SNI post-operative processes.
