Análisis de Estabilidad de Pequeña Señal Utilizando Mediciones Sincrofasoriales PMU
Main Article Content
Abstract
Given the accelerated growth in demand over the last few years, long-distance power transfers between different energy companies have been steadily increasing, which means that the safety and reliability of Electric Power Systems (EPS) could become seriously compromised, especially given the high risk of violating the electricity system’s security limits.
One of the most important and innovative developments in the area of EPS control and monitoring involves Phasor Measurement Units (PMU). This technology enables real-time monitoring of low-frequency oscillations in the Sistema Nacional Interconectado - SNI (National Interconnected System).
This utilizes data from PMU’s that are strategically located throughout the SNI to perform lowfrequency oscillation analysis, applying one of the modal parameter estimation techniques known as the Prony Analysis Method.
