Abstract

The expansion of electricity networks by the continued urban growth creates problems when planning them and even more when taking into account the different policies regarding the distribution networks should not affect the planning, being the case the underground networks. In This paper the solution to the problem of distribution transformer location for a Certain amount of users in GIVEN area was proposed by a heuristic optimal location, Considering minimize connectivity costs in the distribution network to an electrical substation; as well as the cost of interconnection to the electricity transmission network and power transformers capacity. K-means is consider by the heuristic model as the best alternative to divide the users and locate the distribution power transformers, after between the distances comparison and the minimal cost is achieved determine the best location of the substation and using Steiner Tree is achieved by generating the line linking distribution and substation transformers. The same idea is used to connect the substation to the point of connection to the transmission network. After the simulation is able to establish the optimum locations of each network element.
