Abstract

This study shows the steps to be taken to implement a multilevel inverter control system. The study is based on the topology of independent sources used, and later describes implementation of the algorithm with geometric considerations used, and the monitoring and protection systems in an FPGA-based board. In the end, it presents results for start-up of the entire system, with the voltage and frequency measurements obtained at the inverter output, and the THD in the current and load voltage, which was around 7% of the resistive load, and less than 3% in an induction motor.
