Modelación y Validación en ATP de los Cables Subterráneo y Submarino del Sistema de Subtransmisión Baltra - Santa Cruz

Abstract
In this paper, the criteria used for modeling and validation of underground and submarine tripolar cables of Baltra Santa Cruz power system are presented. To model cables with Cable Parameters routines, inserted in EMTP type programs, pretreatment of design data and construction of the cables was performed. Also, to analyze the underground cable was necessary to add to your model a fictional armor so that can be modeled as type “Pipe”. The study of electromagnetic transients line energization was performed using the ATP software, but because the state of the art indicates limitations on cable and not symmetrical aerial transmission lines when Bergeron or JMarti models, incorporated into ATP, an analysis was carried out that allowed to determine to what extent is valid the JMarti model by comparing its transient response voltage with those offered by the WideBand model, built in EMTP-RV, which is considered the most accurate line and cable model today. For this purpose, the JMarti models for submarine and underground cable were adjusted with a frequency value according to suggested by CIGRÉ. The results indicate that the JMarti model provides acceptable voltage signals only to the energized conductor, while for other voltages induced in phase conductors and screens and metal armatures model fails.
