Optimización de la Operación de las unidades de la Central Mazar en Función de la Cabeza Neta
Main Article Content
Abstract
In order to optimize operation of the Mazar hydroelectric power plant, in the short term, this paper develops a non-linear model based on maximum technical efficiency points for operation of a Francis turbine generator, which depend on net head, water discharge and generated power.
The hill curve given by the turbine manufacturer is a diagram to be used as a starting point for the development of this research, and though a non-linear bi-variable regression, the technical efficiency representation of the Francis turbine is found, as a quadratic function of the net head and the water discharge.
For this model three hydrological scenarios are used: Dry, medium and humid, with hourly solving through a deterministic analysis. The results obtained a non-supplied power for Mazar according to scheduled demand, given that the analysis uses the optimization criteria of the maximum technical efficiency, without including restrictions for satisfying demand. This is done in order to understand the effects of the reservoir level on operations of the generating units of the Mazar power plant at maximum efficiency.
