Abstract
Secondary Frequency Regulation (SFR) is a centralized control that currently is automatically developed via an Automatic Generation Control AGC, whose execution is slow and coordinated between the generation units involved in the regulation. Its aim is to ensure that the system frequency is permanently within acceptable ranges and to ensure the fulfi llment of the preset values of interchange power fl ows in multi-area systems. In this context, simulating the response of AGC to different operating scenarios can provide adequate operational parameters, especially in the planning stage. In this sense, the objective of this paper is to model the AGC of the National Interconnected System SNI in the software PowerFactory of DIgSILENT, with the aim of simulating the power system static and dynamic response under different operational scenarios.
